Boredom Busting Photo COMPETITION

With all that's going on in the world, now is a pretty good time to stay at home - whether that's because you have to, or because you want to. Stopping the spread of this virus needs to be the goal of everyone of us, but unfortunately it can be quite boring to be stuck at home...
So, I've decided to run a little Photo Competition!
There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the form of £100, £50, and £25 Amazon gift cards!
Rules?Yes it does.
To enter, you need to take a photothrough a window in/around your home using whatever ULH you have to hand! Whether you're shooting a sunset outside, or a relative doing a headstand inside - as long as its through a window, anything goes!
Upload to Instagram (+ 2nd photo showing the BTS-setup so we know it was taken through glass!)
Contest is live from the moment this update is posted until Friday April 17th. Winners will be announced on Saturday 18th and gift card codes sent via email.
If anyone wants to get their friends involved who don't own a ULH, we're now live on Amazon Prime:
Crowdfunding is community led, but its not just the backers. Theres also a creator-community that I'm pleased to say I have made some great friends throigh. This project is from one of those friends! He recently showed me what he'd been working on and I instantly saw a parallel with the kind of everyday usefulness I believe the ULH has.
The TechWrap is simple, compact and it keeps your gear safe. Exactly what we want, right?
"THE TECH WRAP is a multipurpose carry solution designed for photographers and filmmakers. It keeps camera gear and travel essentials protected, clean and dust free. It provides extra padding for any bag. The outside fabric is made from splashproof quality synthetic material. The inside fabric is made from soft microfibre and doubles as a cleaning cloth."

The power of Kickstarter never fails to blow me away.
When I shared my mate James' first KS campaign (a guy I went to school with that has had to put up with me since 2005...) we hoped a few of you would be Peak Design users, but the extent to what this campaign has gone to is so far beyond what was originally hoped for! Absolutely incredible, from me and from him (especially him!) thank you so much for taking the time to check out the campaign and supporting it if it ticked your boxes!
For anyone that hasn't got a clue what I'm talking about, you can click the link or image below:
Another thank you to everyone that has gotten in touch since the last update regarding missing orders - if you haven't got a reply yet please ping through another email, I don't want anything to slip through the cracks.
However, one slight oversight on my part - BackerKit has been automatically emailing people that haven't provided their addresses for weeks and weeks now... to the email address linked to their KS account... so if they haven't seen that email - chances are, they won't see this update email either... Oops!
But if you are seeing this and you haven't got your order - please email Support@UltimateLensHood.com and I'll get back to you this week!
Happy New Year + Supporting a friend! (Peak Design Users??)

Hello hello hello!
I hope everyone is having a great start to 2020! This'll just be a short update to say there are around 200 people that have not yet given their address so I am unable to get their pledge tiers sent to them...
If you are yet to receive yours, please email email@example.com so we can get it sorted.
Every now and then in the world of Kickstarter-creation, you get the opportunity to partner up, collaborate or just help out a friend - and that's exactly whats happened here, and why I'm about to share this campaign...
If you're a Peak Design user, listen up!
Peak Design products are fantastic, but the only problem we have with ours is their damn tripod plate and its Allen key screwhead. "if only they had a coin slot" - a thought expressed in many of the comments we'd seen online too.
So, for James' first campaign - we thought we'd solve the problem!
It's a replacement for the standard mounting screw you get with all Peak Design tripod plates (such as those on the V3 Capture Clip and new Travel Tripod!) - but it's made of titanium and features a coin slot!
To read all about it, or pick one up for as little as £3, head to the link below!

Thank you all for your patience, I know waiting on tracking info is never fun!
I've just hit the button on BackerKit to send out the first batch 1,655 tracking numbers - so check your inboxes over the next few hours to see if you're among them!
Due to the volume of orders and (weirdly) boxing time, its taking the fulfilment warehouse a tad longer than they'd anticipated to get everything shipped.
They have over 6,000 backer addresses locked in that they're currently working through.
Rather than spending too much time sending me daily tracking info lists, they're focusing on bulk packing-and-sending and will be sending me tracking info when they get round to it. As soon as the new lists arrive, I'll upload them to BackerKit and get the notications sent out to you all ASAP.
It's not ideal, but we figured you'd rather them be on their way and 'not be aware of it' than having to wait longer just to be able to track it from the very beginning...
I hope you're enjoying your weekends,
If you haven't had your email - I haven't been given your tracking info yet.
SHIPPING HAS BEGUN!

Ultra Bird & Early Bird orders are soon to be on their way!!
The first 4,912 UB/EB backers to have provided their addresses in BackerKit have been exported and sent to the shipping company, where they’re being boxed up ready for dispatch ASAP.
Unfortunately this has happened 3 days later than planned due to some ridiculously stupid delays (not to bore you with it, and I don’t want to relive it as its been incredibly frustrating - but one of those days of delays was due to a video sent by the shipping company REFUSING to play - so I couldn’t feedback to them whether or not their packing process was correct until this morning…)
It seems no matter how well you plan things, there are always external factors that cause delays - but thankfully that’s behind us now!
Everything is being sent via tracked delivery, and the tracking info will be available to you. BackerKit have provided a template document that should make this information automated, but if that doesn’t work the tracking info will be on a request-only basis due to the volume of orders being sent (ie. If you want it - you’ll need to ask for it).
I will post an update once I have the tracking information, so stay tuned for that!
